Herbert Simon 的學說,沒有學派 ( school)之稱。他說,"SCHOOL" is for Fish。

SCHOOL IN CHICAGO, YES; CHICAGO SCHOOL, NO

To the Editor:
An Oct. 21 Business Day article about the fully deserved award of the Nobel Memorial Prize for Economic Science to Prof. George Stigler of the University of Chicago quoted unnamed economists as having said that ''the prize further increased the prestige of the 'Chicago School' of economics.'' It goes on to say that ''of the 12 Americans who have won the economics prize ... eight have been associated with the University of Chicago as students, faculty members or researchers.''
Although we do not know how this count was arrived at - but look back on our own past links with the University of Chicago with a degree of nostalgia - we ask that we not be considered, explicitly or by implication, members of the ''Chicago School'' of economics. Indeed, economics at Chicago has included many things quite different from the particular views now associated with the ''Chicago School.'' KENNETH J. ARROW, LAWRENCE R. KLEIN, TJALLING C.
